Broad College of Business, Michigan State University and Middle East Logistics Institute Expand Strategic Relationship with Management Development Programs

April 4, 2019

Bisk, Online Program Management Leader, Supports International Collaboration

TAMPA, Fla., April 4, 2019 – Bisk Education, Inc. (Bisk), a global leader in digital learning, and the Middle East Logistics Institute (MELI) announce a strategic relationship for the delivery of executive education certificate programs from the Broad College of Business, Michigan State University (MSU).

This collaboration for the delivery of MSU’s executive education certificate programs to businesses and professionals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the latest development in an eight-year relationship between MSU and MELI in supply chain management and logistics. MELI will offer blended learning certificate courses, delivered through a combination of online and classroom instruction. The agreement also adds business analytics certificate courses to MELI’s portfolio, another subject area where MSU is recognized as a global leader.

“This initiative with MELI is a natural expansion of our long-standing relationship,” said Dr. David Frayer, Assistant Dean at the Broad College of Business, MSU. “MELI has been a steward of the MSU brand in Saudi Arabia for a number of years. Their reputation and expertise in supply chain management training make them the ideal choice for introducing MSU’s executive education certificate programs to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

“Managers involved in supply chain and logistics are expected to deliver value to their organizations,” said Mr. Amer Badarneh, MELI’s General Manager. “Effective operational management requires an understanding of the fundamentals of supply chain management. Leadership and the ability to contribute to the strategic direction of an organization requires more than functional knowledge. The two programs that we are introducing from MSU, the Management Development Program in Integrated Supply Chain Management and the Management Development Program in Business Analytics, are designed to support this path to strategic leadership.”

MELI’s cohorts in these MSU programs have the opportunity to engage with participants from many parts of the world, including many from the United States. “We are excited to help create a global classroom of professionals who are motivated to learn and share their knowledge and expertise,” said Mike Bisk, CEO of Bisk. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals are ambitious. Bisk is proud to contribute to those efforts through this relationship with MELI.”

Both the supply chain and business analytics MSU programs are comprised of three courses designed not only for industry professionals to enhance and expand their knowledge of each field, but also contribute to the ongoing reskilling and upskilling needs of their markets. The first eight-week course in the supply chain program commences April 1, 2019. The first eight-week course in the business analytics program will open June 1, 2019 with teaching sessions commencing June 10, 2019.
