Bisk Partners with Grow With Google to Host Techstars Startup Weekend

TAMPA, Fla., July 23, 2018 – Bisk, a global leader in digital learning. hosted over 100 entrepreneurs and a number of local business professional mentors on its campus for a fast-paced, whirlwind event: Techstars Startup Weekend Tampa Bay, presented by Grow With Google.

Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event where attendees are part of building a business in a weekend, learning the basics of a startup and launching a successful venture or product.

Anyone was welcome to pitch their startup idea and out of 50 pitches on Friday night, 12 were selected. Teams organically formed around those 12 ideas and through collaboration, this highly creative event challenged attendees to develop business models, prototype, design and conduct market validation.

The whiteboard walls were covered with teams brainstorming and it was exciting to see diverse teams of creatives, technologists, designers and developers come together to learn and grow professionally and personally. This spirit of innovation and creativity is what Bisk is all about,” said Mike Bisk, CEO.

Final pitches were heard July 22 at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC. Each of the 12 pitches received $3,000 in Google Cloud credits, and the winner (Givvn – a charity/Facebook messenger integration app) also received one hour of remote mentoring from a Google professional.
